The first Innovative Seed Grant Rendez-Vous, a poster and multimedia session showcasing IGP-funded work, was held from 3 to 5 p.m., Friday, October 24, 2008 in the Club Level of Folsom Stadium.

The Rendez-Vous was intended to serve the following purposes:

• To "kick off" the 2009 Innovative Seed Grant Program
• To provide an opportunity for interested faculty applicants and other university community members to see what exciting types of work have been funded in past competition
• To honor and acknowledge the IGP award recipients in this exciting and competitive program
• To showcase the IGP-supported work to date and provide examples of the type of "payoff" that has derived from their work
• To stimulate conversation and promote collaborative discussion, and perhaps future competitive IGP proposals
  

The next Rendez-Vous will likely be held in either the Fall of 2009 or 2010.
